Where should I stay? Will I need a car?
We have 3 hotels listed under the travel section that are all within a mile of the venue and located in walkable areas of downtown Raleigh. Airbnb is also a good option.
Whether or not you rent a car depends on your plans for the weekend. It is easy to grab a taxi or an Uber in Raleigh. If you stay downtown, many of the areas are walkable. The drive from RDU airport to downtown is about 25 minutes. The welcome party venue will be downtown and 0.7 miles from Heights House. Sunday brunch is 2.5 miles from Heights House.
Will there be transportation to the wedding?
We are not providing dedicated transportation to the wedding, but there are many accommodation options within walking or short driving distance. There is handicapped parking at the Saturday venue as well as limited street parking. We recommend walking, ride share, or carpool.
What should I wear?
The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. We would like you to feel both elegant and comfortable! We recommend knee length or midi dresses for women and suits for men.
The wedding will be both inside and outside. Keep in mind that there is a grassy lawn when making shoe choices. May in North Carolina is often beautiful (70s and sunny), so we will keep our fingers crossed for a lovely evening.
Are children invited?
This will be an adults only event with the exception of breast feeding infants. If you are interested in a local babysitter, we are happy to research some recommendations. Children are welcome at Sunday Brunch.
